Victim of its own success, RoSoGo was recently the target of a "phishing" attempt. Thankfully our customer services team was quick to react and closed the offending account immediately
"Phishing" is a method where fraudsters try to get your personal details (i.e. your email address) in order to resell them for illegal purpose.
3 days ago we identified a newly registered member sending an identical message to several of our genuine RoSoGo members, asking them to get in touch by writing to her personal email address.
This is a typical phishing attempt and we therefore took immediate action by closing the offending account. Please note that none of our member accounts were compromised and we increased the security on our website & server.
Note also that, if you ever receive a suspicious message from another RoSoGo member, you can report him/her by using the "Report" link featured on every profile page.
RoSoGo takes spamming/phishing matters very seriously, therefore please feel free to contact us if you wish to learn more on this topic.
